For Coastkeeper’s 14th Kids Ocean Day, we brought over 1,200 students to Huntington State Beach for a trash cleanup and aerial art demonstration.
With the help of dozens of volunteers and Orange County Coastkeeper staff, the students removed 188 pounds of trash from the beach. The day concluded with the students forming a giant message asking the world to “give us a chance.”

This event was sponsored by the California Coastal Commission’s Whale Tail grant program. We’d like to offer a special shout-out to Behr for your additional sponsorship and providing volunteer support, Starbucks for keeping our team caffeinated, and California Love Drop for supplying lunch and snacks!
